Sade's having one of the best weeks in her career. Her newest album, Soldier of Love, still holds the top spot for the second consecutive week, with 694,000 units sold. The album sold 502,000 copies in its initial week, reportedly making it the best sales week for an album by a group since AC/DC in 2008.

Sade fans must've really missed her and what better way to show her love, then buying the album.

Two of R&B's most talented artists will join forces for a nationwide tour this spring. Maxwell and Jill Scott will hit arenas starting May 21st in Cleveland with additional dates to be announced through June.

Diddy Not Involved

Every entity directly or remotely mentioned in the "Hollywood Robbery" that allegedly took place on Monday is publically getting as far away from the story as possible.

The L.A. Times story that ran on Monday alleged that a record label owned the house where the beating and robbery took place but also ran a quote from Diddy's publicist saying that he was in no way involved. "As far as we have been able to tell in this short time, we have never owned or rented a house at this address for any purpose," Interscope publicist Yvette Gayle told the publication. Diddy's publicist Keesha Johnson also told the paper that "Sean is not affiliated with the property in any capacity."

This is a story that just won't go away.

Juvenile Arrested

New Orleans Hot Boy Terius "Juvenile" Gray was arrested yesterday after police found a small amount of marijuana in his home.

According to New Orleans Fox affiliate WVUE, a neighbor called police when they smelled the odor of marijuana coming from a house on Livingston Avenue, in Arabi, St. Bernard Parish.

When the deputies arrived, they say they found a small amount of the weed in the kitchen, which the 34 year-old rapper admitted was his.

Both Juvenile and his producer Leroy Edwards were arrested and later released on bond.

BEP Announce Eco Friendly Line

During their current tour Black Eyed Peas will be pedaling a message in addition to performing their hit songs. The pop/hip hop crew will be working alongside fabric and apparel company Rethink to promote green fashion by encouraging their fans to recycle plastic bottles.

The recycled products will then be used to manufacture Black Eyed Peas merchandise including t-shirts.

"From creating new sustainable products out recycled bottles to capping harmful global warming pollution, the actions and policies that protect the planet for future generations are the same as those that create new jobs and economic opportunities. This technology has been used for quite some time but with the help of public figures it could drastically change the fashion industry.

Man Charged in Famed Label Arson Case

Philadelphia International Records is the label that producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff made famous with hits by Teddy Pendergrass and the O'Jays. The building that housed the label and studio was hit by a two-alarm fire recently, destroying many priceless pieces of memorabilia.

Fortunately the culprit has been apprehended and charged by Philadelphia Police according to WFMY.

A clearly intoxicated 27-year-old Chris Cimini was rescued by firefighters the morning of the fire and he is believed to have purposefully started the fire. He has been charged with arson, burglary, and other offenses.

Gamble and Huff said in a statement Tuesday that some lost items are "irreplaceable" but vowed to rebuild.

Kanye Receives NME Award

United Kingdom Magazine New Musical Express (NME) held their annual awards show last night and hip hop acts were some of its biggest winners and losers. Hip hop's most hated celebrity Kanye West fell into both categories as he won Villain of the Year. He won (or lost) out against Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Simon Cowell and Lady Gaga who won the Best and Worst Dressed awards.

West was not in attendance.

Justus League Members In Car Accident

Little Brother member Rapper Big Pooh, Justus League affiliate Joe Scudda, Chaundon, Jozeemo and manager Big Dho were injured yesterday morning in a Vermont car accident.

Joe Scudda confirmed the accident via twitter writing "Need all yall to pray for us HOJ BOYS...be back with details.....we just had a wreck!!!"

He added that the guys were "t-boned by a tractor trailer after doing a 360 in the snow-covered roads."

All parties were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Pooh, Chaundon and Big Pooh have all tweeted thanks to their fans for their prayers. Pooh is still in the hospital recovering at press time.

Pitbull Honored By Hometown

Cuban rapper Pitbull has put on for his city since bursting onto the music scene in 2004 and now the city of Miami is returning the favor. Yesterday it was announced that Pitbull will be this year's King of Carnaval Miami, which is the largest Hispanic festival in America.

''For me, a Miami kid raised in Little Havana, it's a tremendous source of pride to be here because [Carnaval Miami] shows the unity of the cultures that come here,'' said Pitbull, during a news conference.

Carnaval Miami includes several events including an 8K run, domino tournament, cooking contest, jazz festival and the popular Calle Ocho festival. The events take place February 27 - March 14, 2010.

Weezy And Em Video Coming In March

Before Wayne was set to turn himself in he went on a video recording spree shooting 9 clips. One of the bigger ones is for his Rebirth single "Drop the Bomb" featuring Eminem.

The director of the video Christopher Robinson told MTV News that the video will hit outlets on March 11^th. "As a director, it's how do you, more than anything, combine these two artists together and create something that's special," he told the network. "The first two hooks and the first two verses are all Wayne, and it's kind of a surprise when Eminem comes through, and we matched it visually how Eminem enters the piece. From the concept and to just hearing the lyrics, with both of these amazing lyricists killing it, the whole video is just energy," Robinson continued.

Weezy is scheduled to turn himself in for a one-year sentence on March 2^nd.

This weekend the Nation of Islam will hold Annual Saviors' Day Convention in Rosemont, IL. The event will culminate with a keynote address "The Time and What Must Be Done" by the leader of the Nation of Islam on Feb. 28 at the United Center in Chicago.

Many high profile guests are expected to attend this year's event including Raheem DeVaughn, "the Real Freeway" Rick Ross, Frank Lucas, Wyclef Jean, former Jamaican Ambassador Dudley Thompson, Pam Africa and Filmmaker Allen Hughes.

Much of the weekends festivities will be focused on the recent tragedy in Haiti. "Haiti needs all the assistance she can get. We in the Nation of Islam are organizing our efforts to provide relief and in the spirit of the Million Man March, The Millions Women's March and the Millions More Movement we encourage everyone to organize their efforts into a National Response to Haiti "If we come together and speak with one voice and use the brightest and best of our minds to organize an effective response to this from the entire Black and Hispanic community of America, what a statement that would make. After we assess what we have done and the success of it, we have a working model for bad days that may soon come upon us," said Min. Farrakhan in a statement.

Ice Cube Explains New Album

Fed up with industry politics and regional biases Ice Cube has decided to do music his way. The veteran emcee wrote a blog today announcing a forthcoming album as well as his disdain for the current climate of the music industry.

Cube will release I am the West this summer and from the sound of the following letter, this will be his most unabashed West Coast sounding album in years.

I AM THE WEST...is the name of my new record. After completing about 65% of my music, this is the perfect title. This shit is cocky, no apologies, West Coast gangsta shit. I can't help it. That's what I do. June seems too tight for a release, but July is very doable. We'll see how things go. Now that I have my title, I can work on the concept of my photo shoot and artwork. I want to provide early merch before the drop date.

For 7 or 8 years now the West Coast has been trying to do music that appeals to the South and Mid-West. The words, "too West Coast" would be heard throughout the industry whenever our music was played. Even by our own dj's. Left coast MC's were now trying to change their sound to cater to all the followers. We lost our way. Thank God for b-boys like Snoop, The Game & WC for keeping the West alive, but we were all guilty of overreaching. No more. At least not from me. I do it how I feel it; not how I think it should be done. Radio fucked us up. I hate the politics at radio. I don't know who to pay to get my shit played. Having a hot song is not enough. Ridiculous.

Classic Series Returns To Television

Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam made millions laugh during its run on HBO and if Simmons and director Stan Lathan have their say the series will continue to do so via Comedy Central. The New Def Comedy Jam will air on a new network this summer with an all new look.

The shows, which are being taped in Los Angeles, will feature a more racially diverse cast than past seasons as well as a new host in the hilarious actor/comedian JB Smoove.

"Def Comedy Jam made a significant contribution to American pop culture by introducing so many superstars," Simmons noted in a press release. "Now, with Comedy Central as our new partner, we're poised to present the next generation of star talent."

Alicia Keys Headlines Essence Festival

R&B songstress Alicia Keys has been added to the headline roster for the 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.

The singer will join Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson, Jill Scott, Raphael Saadiq, and more at the Superdome, July 2-4.

The 16^th annual festival will also feature De La Soul, Chrisette Michele, Joe, Melanie Fiona as well as local New Orleans bred acts.
