Big shout out to them man who have made moves this year like Dizzee, Giggs & Sway but as a whole the UK urban music industry is average. In the UK its a big deal if 1 or 2 black people get record deals but in the U.S its standard for da whole top 20 chart to be urban music! 2008’s been a good year and 2009 will be even better with Smiler in the mix.

Gil Scott Heron is musically a very big influence for me. Big Pun, Talib Kweli, Lauryn Hill, Tupac, Nas, Immortal Technique, Radiohead, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Rakim, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, Muhammed Ali are all people whose work and lives have influenced me in some way.
